Week 8: 12^th August

News

Official news on MUPS has been in short supply in the last seven days, with few notable departures, arrivals and updates to report. However, given the troubles caused by the saboteurs a couple of weeks back, allayed to the fact that MUPS is definitely not in need of major overhaul, I believe this to be a positive - if it isn’t broke, and it certainly isn’t, don’t fix it.

PayPal

The PayPal question simply refuses to abscond from MUPS, constantly reappearing to raise its ugly head. At least two members detailed problems they have been encountering with PayPal this week via the forums. Rules vehemently state that PayPal is not to be used for payment for any MUPS sales. PayPal do not allow adult-related transactions and they can, and do, fine you and freeze your account if caught. It simply is not worth it and you will encounter financial troubles on PayPal and suspension from MUPS.

Videos

MinxyLaveau has been particularly active on the MUPS video front this week, with four new releases. Whilst The Wet Spot was particularly alluring, my favourite has to be With a Little Help from the Beau, exhibiting a panty angle extremely underused on MUPS. Obviously I am a stranger to the ‘beau’, but I feel confident in claiming that he did not mind helping out. Only one other video this week – but what a video! Cherree’s Preview video was, without question, one of my favourite movie releases on MUPS. Featuring her oiled-up, in skimpy panties, writhing around on a massage table, was a sight to behold. The full video went on sale shortly after and I am definitely not surprised to announce that it was ‘selling like hotcakes.’ I am very much looking forward to video releases from Cherree in the near future.

Week 9: 19^th August

News

I wish to start this week’s review by welcoming back site owner PK, who returned from vacation this week. Although he is still recovering from his adventures, the site shall be in capable hands while he recuperates, with a full complement of admin staff in place. On a sadder note, you may recall me relaying the news that Thebratness had to be hospitalised a few weeks back. Unfortunately, she has had to return to hospital this week as the bleeding became so bad that she had little choice. I wish her a swift and successful recovery. In other sad news, Juicy-Lucy blogged of her enforced departure from MUPS. It is fair to say that Juicy-Lucy deserves a change in fortune as she has been hit with some terrible luck of late. She will be removing her photos, but not her account, and I’m sure I am not alone in wishing her all the best.

Congratulations

Congratulations are in order to DirtyVirgin, who achieved fantastic A level results this week. Accompanying these grades was a university placement for September – well done DV. Well done also to anyone else achieving successful exam results this week.

AlertPay

As I’m sure many of you are aware, the ‘direct pay’ button from the MUPS sales area to AlertPay usually results in a, ‘the seller does not accept credit cards at this time’ message. The issue was raised in a forum this week, the problem being a bug which AlertPay are aware of. To be honest, since the second week of joining the site, I have given-up using the direct button. As was raised by members in forum posts, if you ask the seller to send you a payment request, or go directly to AlertPay and pay using the seller’s AlertPay email, things usually run smoothly.

On the subject of AlertPay, Jetta commented on a forum question this week by warning newcomers that they should be careful with the settings on AlertPay. If your settings are not private enough, your real name can enter the public domain. Whilst not wishing to scare members away from using AlertPay, obviously this is great advice and sellers should engage caution when disclosing details to buyers.

Week 7: 5^th August

News

After the previous weekend, I feared the worst: thankfully, my fears were misplaced and the weekend passed without MUPS interference. MUPS, Panty Trust and Panty Hog were all fully operational at the weekend and long may they continue. Life without them would be a far poorer experience.

Departures and Arrivals

PK is taking a short leave of absence due to vacation – let’s hope the weather, change of scenery and relaxation is all our site owner is hoping for. However, we are to be left in capable hands, with site manager HazelBigLips at the helm, and her team of moderators behind her.

Welcome back to Nicethings1983. You may recall last week how she was taking a break from MUPS for personal reason: all has been revealed in her blog Thank You. The support she received from members during this time was fantastic to witness and I know she appreciated as much as we appreciate her return. 

Panty Trust

You may also recall that I drew your attention to the new Panty Trust website last week. The site is under construction but progressing nicely. Panty Trust is looking for volunteers to contribute to the fine work they do, however, until things are up-and-running, new PTV members are not being registered. This will change and I fully recommend sellers to, at the very least, consider joining.

Week 6:29^th July

News

The strike

This week more than ever I feel really fortunate to be able to bring you this column. After the blackout on MUPS, Panty Hog, Panty Wiki and Panty Trust at the weekend, I feel the need to savour every hour spent on these sites like never before. The cause of the disruption has not fully been uncovered, although a couple of likely candidates (saboteurs) certainly appear highly suspect. Well done to PK for the quick recovery of the site, as well as to all those who rallied around to help inform others of the situation at hand. MUPS, Panty Trust and Panty Hog are all now functioning at full strength.

Everything in moderation

Congratulations are in order to DirtyVirgin, who this week was chosen as one of two new MUPS moderators. DV is currently a moderator on Panty Hog, is an asset to MUPS and the community as a whole, and I am pleased that her hard work and ability is being recognised. The other new MUPS moderator feels very honoured and shall do everything in his power to repay the faith shown in him.

Penelope has been made a Techie Advisor. Her technical knowledge will be a great addition to the site – well done Penelope.

I would just like to remind members of the importance in continuing to adhere to the limit on picture sizes. The vast majority of members are remaining within the guidelines; however, persistent offenders have been at work: one case has seen a member suspended for seven days for a consistent disregard to rules. It is in all our interests to adhere to the limit.

Serena

There is only one way to begin this week’s column – with the sad news that Serena will no longer be a regular fixture on MUPS. After six highly eventful years, Serena is permanently retiring from the scene. I shall miss her presence, her guidance, her support, and above all her friendship. I wish her all the best in further ventures, whatever they may be, and thank her sincerely for all she has done for me and the site. Her retirement letter can be read at http://serenassecret.net/

Congratulations Hazel

It gives me great delight to congratulate the new MUPS manager – Hazelbiglips. It could not have gone to a more worthy, a more knowledgeable and above all more well-suited person. Hazel will do Serena proud; I have no doubts - well done Hazel.

Returns

Several members have returned safely to the fold this week. After taking an enforced absence, Juicy-Lucy came home to MUPS and it was a real delight to see her blog detailing her return, as well as the immediately resumption of her much lauded pyjama game. RedDevil99 is back after relocation and Shortcake returns after being away. Lucky Nicole is with us again after a hectic spell. Her previous post was I’m Still Alive – I guess she still is, and I for one am glad.

Week 4:15^th July

News

Vacation returnees 

The past seven days have seen the return from holiday of a number of principle members, not least its suzerain, PK. He returned from his vacation and was immediately faced with perusing weeks two and three of this column for Panty Hog publication – sorry PK. MissTinasPanties is back with us, and Vixen is also back amongst the fold and after a sojourn in the United States – welcome back all.

Casualty

The continuation of the horrendous luck suffered by MUPS members has carried on unabated this week with an unfortunate couple requiring hospital treatment. Vindicated’s MUPS time has been curtailed by being in a car crash. He is still undergoing treatment – though hopefully not serious. This is the fourth time, at least, that MUPS members have needed medical care in recent weeks: Issy707 and Lolagold in weeks past have required hospital visits, and I am also sad to report that TheBratness has needed to visit hospital with anaemic shock. She is still weak and has needed to stop sales for a while. Bratty is a reliable seller with a 100% feedback record and I hope that everyone will be patient and understanding with her. Best of luck to Bratty, Vindicated and everyone else stricken by illness and injury.

Cherry’s mount

Cherry is due to undertake a sponsored climb of Mount Snowdonia (in flip flops) in support of Cancer Hospice, Forest Holme. All sponsors and donations are extremely welcome and Cherry is selling picture-sets in exchange for donations (see Mountain Hike…for Charity, Please Read for details). I am sure we don’t need any extra motivation for aiding her in this challenge, but if so - Cherry will be taking pictures in her knickers at the summit. Good luck Cherry, please keep us informed.

Video stars 2

Three videos last week, three videos this week. I mentioned then how much I enjoy Jetta’s videos - two uploads from her this week, including an absolutely phenomenal tights in knickers video Undress Me Everywhere. I cannot adequately relay my level of excitement when encountering this – go see it. Credit is also due to Alyssa31 for contributing a video not long after joining the site, one she should be proud of.

In other news, BlondeThong has a video-related promotion in operation on her group. I would also like to mention that Dr Thong has commenced producing custom videos after several requests for her to do so.

News

Return, absence

It gives me great pleasure to be able to begin this week’s news round-up by welcoming back two MUPS ladies. Cherry is back where she belongs after holidaying in the States – MUPS.  Although  she has decided to embark on another sojourn, it is not as bad as it could be; she is only going on a very short camping trip, and it is to the north of the country. Cloud-silver lining!! Also back with us this week is Lolagold, returning after a short break through illness. Her condition deteriorated so badly that she required a hospital visit, but she is thankfully recovered and back with us now. Welcome back ladies.

On a much sadder note, Juicy-Lucy shall be taking a break from selling as a consequence of bereavement. I am confident that you will all join me in sending her best wishes at this difficult time.

First off, and following on from news in last week’s column, congratulations are in order for two wonderful MUPS ladies. Miss Babette has achieved full Panty Trust status – well done to her. Being a lady who appreciates pantyhose, I am a big fan of hers, although I’m sure everyone can appreciate the commitment and quality that the Panty Trust label encapsulates. Last week I mentioned the impact that exams were having upon sellers. This week I am pleased to announce that one such seller, BlondeThong, has had her results back from early exams and has done extremely well under trying circumstances - well done BT.

A quiet time for Panty Hog and Panty Wiki this week. A massive thank you to all who are attempting to bring some more action to PH. Littlemissmw (go check out her blog site!!), Prettynikki91, and the few MUPS girls who regularly contribute, have all posted this week and it is only through members putting in the time that the site will continue to prosper.

Dr Thong formulated a forum question asking how best to package pussy pops. Both Kinki_Kati and Hazelbiglips warned of the perils to ‘ladygardens’ such objects can beget. They point out that sugars in Pussy pops are not conducive to a healthy tuppence area – so be careful ladies. Although Dr T, if anyone can find a solution to such a tricky situation, surely it’s you.

Congratulations to Dirtyvirgin who has been announced as a new moderator on Panty Hog. She has been a member of MUPS for over a year now, is well versed in our esoteric ways, and is kindly offering her services to Panty Hog.

In other news a forum was initiated on MUPS in order to ask how ‘time of the month’ panties should be worded to potential buyers. It was pointed out by Hazelbiglips that the sale of blood, semen, urine, faeces, in-person sexual encounters, or anything sold to minors is strictly prohibited.

Difficult period for sellers

The past week has been a challenging period for many sellers for a variety of reasons. Two examples being Nookie_Lookie and DirtyVirgin. Nookie_Lookie endured a video games related injury so severe she required to take the whole week off work (though she is keen to point out that her hands and fingers are still operational!). Dirtyvirgin is currently experiencing health problems which will result in the unavoidable delay in orders (please see her blog ‘Incredibly Annoying’ for more details). Please be patient and understanding with these two consistently reliable and experienced sellers at this difficult time.

On a more positive note welcome back Juicy-Lucy who has recovered from illness and is now back in her rightful place, the MUPS shoutbox.

Exams

Congratulations to Dr Thong, Dirtyvirgin, Hibiscus, Bunny and BlondeThong for completing exams. I must admit to being somewhat jealous, I loved every second of being a student. I even perversely enjoyed the stress of being approximately 8000 words short on an 8000 word dissertation, with only 4 weeks left, on the impact of the ‘Southern Question’ on Italian unification…happy days! Even though I now cannot imagine living without MUPS, whether I could have successfully completed the dissertation knowing of its existence is hugely contentious. Those who know me are aware that I refuse to live by time boundaries and restrictions. I avoid structure and timetables and opt instead for a more ‘fluid’ lifestyle. I regard my student successes as a miracle from God.

Welcome to my review of the weekly events, occurrences and news from the used panties fetish scene. The column will be interspersed with interesting, informative and surreal stories from the World outside these three great sites (apparently there is a World beyond). A column that connects the used panty sites and is a fun, informal and informative review of the past week is the raison d'etre of my undertaking.

Firstly please permit me to introduce myself. I am four months into this fine fetish and have amassed approximately thirty pairs. I am making-up for lost time and aim to increase my accumulation. Whilst the joys I have received from receiving used panties were foreseen, the friendships that I have made, and in some cases close friendships, have been a special bonus. I began purchasing with a ‘full back panties only’ policy but this has now changed to incorporate thongs.  Always worn under tights, preferably white knickers under black tights. I have recently formed a group on MUPS of this genre.

‘Stewart’s Week in Panty Land’ shall include a combination of news and information from official channels, as well as news from buyers and sellers. Perhaps you are returning to the scene after an absence and wish to inform people that you are back, or you are a newbie who wishes to introduce yourself? I will gladly relay this information and even interview you if you wish.

Blogs and forums that have caught my eye in the week shall also be mentioned and discussed. Blogs are a personal favourite of mine and I shall endeavour to cover the exciting and the amusing. Panty news and stories from the media shall also be relayed to my readers (presuming I am fortunate enough to attract any). If I had got my act together sooner the story of Damien Hirst’s visit to Stringfellows where he kindly signed a lap dancer’s underwear, enabling the value of the item to rocket, would have had pride of place in my column. I read two newspapers daily but shall go further in order to uncover more knicker news stories for my readers. Whilst this shall only be a frivolous undertaking, I aim to produce stories more substantial than a mere mention of Paris Hilton’s latest panty flash. I would be delighted if readers brought to my attention any news stories that I may have missed and naturally I shall give you a mention.

I shall of course compose a new review every week and I cannot wait to begin. I aim above all to produce a fun and relaxed piece with a flexible format – nothing is set in stone. It is of vital importance that this column remains fresh. If you have any ideas or comments please do not hesitate to get in touch.
