Alertpay Personal Pro or Business?

Question:

Dear Serena, I plan on signing up with AlertPay.  I found that using Personal pro and requesting money revels your real name.  Business accounts allow you to use a business name.  I read where you advised sellers to get a Personal Pro account.  Is there a way to hide your real name with a Personal Pro account?  What are the negatives to getting a Business account?
Thanks a bunch,
Kimee
Kim's Furburger

Answer:

Hi Kimee
I don't have much experience with  AlertPay Business Account, but I am aware that the verification process is rather involved, that you have to commit to the account for at least a year, and that you may face hefty fees should you wish to get out of the contact earlier.

However, unlike the Alertpay Pro accounts, you can trade under your business name other then your name, but remember, buyers prefer to deal with the girl next door other then a company, and they are just as worried about you knowing their real names.

I hope this helps.

This really works?

Question:

Hi Serena,
I live in the UK and wanted to make some extra money. I read about someone selling the used underwear online. I came across your sight and wondered if this really works? And is it safe and confidential? If so do you have advice on how to get started.
Thanks for your time
Kind Regards
Grace,
x

Answer:

Hello Grace
I am not sure what you mean by ' this really work'. I have a website and I have a Panty Fetish, other people with the same  fetish visit my website to obtain my used panties.
Its safe and it is confidential as long as you make it as such, always deal with an established panty community such as Panty Hog  and avoid selling on places like Craig's List or any random classified websites.
I would say start by asking yourself if you have a genuine Panty Fetish before considering  capitalising.

The Panty Fetish Community and its leeches

This post has no reference whatsoever to any particular event or person, it is a simpler reminder so that when people get suddenly banned for taking advantage of the community, they can't  turn around and claim innocence.

The panty fetish community welcomes members willing to promote trust and willing to support it (not your friends only). We all share the responsibility to keep  our fellow members safe so that we can keep on selling and buying used panties  free from scammers. We are not interested in filling panty sites with people who leech without contributing anything back, and no one here is interested in people who give nothing of substance or value in return. Members/leeches that latch onto the community  to suck up all the FREE features available, use it for their own benefit, are along for the ride, have the cheek to complain, bitch, whinge, back-stub etc when they don't get their ways, are not welcome.

Leeches do nothing more then draining us of time and energy to support each other.

The panty fetish community is great because some sellers (and leeches) manage to pay their rent and phone bills thanks to it, still, no one is asking them to kiss arse, but what we do ask of them is that they should do not disrespect it and our loyal members (not to be confused for 'established' members, established does not mean loyal), and that they pull their fingers out when its needed, not just when its convenient to you.

If you are not prepared to support the panty fetish community, you are in the wrong place, and the best thing for you to do is to sign up on any of those sites that will happily charge you 4% for every sales you make and will never question your intentions for as long as you keep on paying up. Or even better, go solo!

Don't be a leech, or you won't last.

Do you Twitter?

Question:

Hello Serena,
I am in the process of finishing my new used panty site, could you please recommend places I can use to market it? I was thinking about joining Twitter, but I am not sure how it works in relation to panty selling.

Answer:

Hello! Twitter can be a powerful too, many panty girls use it daily to increase their network connections and even sale their panties. Try to integrate your site with your Twitter account and make sure you write a good description as to who you are and what you do. Just be aware that Twitter is a 'friendly' network so you'll need to keep your content 'friendly'. Dont upload anything naughty, especially on the Twitter Pictures services, or they will suspend your account. Other places I would recommend are www.myusedpantystore.com, www.top-panty.com, www.pantytrust.com and of course make the most on our news features and directory right here on Panty Hog.
Hope this helps!

Do you want a $500 fine? Use Paypal.

Question:

Hi Serena
I came across your article about Paypal introducing fines, I'm very careful when using it but I am a bit worried now. How do other girls get around it? Thanks in advance for your time.
Genna

Answer:

Why would someone be stupid enough to risk a $500 fines?
Other girls don't, no one does. Paypal will freeze your account and fine you. We had a case recently when a buyer got dragged to court by Paypal after refusing to pay a $500 penalty for breaching their T&C, his excuse was that 'the seller made him' and she should pay for both. I dont think anyone bought his excuse, and she would still have to pay her $500 fine.
If these are the kind of legal affairs you wish to potentially face, then by all mean, go ahead and keep using Paypal.

PayPal Set to Fine Users
Attempt to police practices is business as usual for eBay sellers — unless they’re in the wrong business.
By Susan Kuchinskas: More stories by this author:
Beginning Friday, PayPal will begin penalizing users who buy things it doesn’t want them to: prescription drugs from unverified pharmacies, material with even a whiff of sex and gambling or lottery services.
On August 23, PayPal gave users via e-mail 30 days’ notice that it could levy a fine of $500 on those who violate its acceptable use policies. Its compliance team will strictly enforce the new acceptable use policy to implement the monetary fines on both buyers and sellers who use the transaction service to trade in items the San Jose, Calif.-based company has outlawed.
Those policies prohibit a wide variety of things, from stuffed migratory birds to used airbags. But the user agreement revision singles out those who, despite the transaction platform’s best efforts, persist in using it to pay for forbidden goods and services in the mature audiences, prescription drugs and gambling categories.
A PayPal spokesperson said the fines were an evolution of its policy prohibiting these activities; she declined to say what percentage of the service’s transactions might engage in barred goods.

How NOT to sell used panties

Sadly, the web is full of misleading information on 'How to sell used panties', and sometime when these are followed they can be very harmful to your used panty business, and even get you into serious trouble.
This is an examples of an inaccurate used panties related web articles written by an irresponsible and uninformed person:

How to Sell Your Used Panties for Money, written by Sylvia Jacobs
http://www.ehow.com/how_5617890_sell-used-panties-money.html

Quote: 'Decide where you are going to advertise your used panties. Craigslist is a good choice, but it is know for attracting people who aren't serious about buying the panties.
Craigslist is a very bad choice - it is known for attracting men who are serious about paying you for sex.

Quote: 'Auction websites, such as PantyLocker and eBanned are good choices. These are eBay-style bidding websites where you can post what you want to sell and see how much people are willing to pay for it'
These auctions sites charge you. Why pay to advertise your panties when you can do it for free on panty fetish sites such as My Used Panty Store.com and Used Panty Portal.com?

Quote: 'Keep your replies sexy but to the point'
Do not be dictated as to what tone of voice you should use when talking to other panty lovers. Sexy talk is not a requirement and you should not do it unless you are comfortable with it. You should be polite, friendly but most importantly be yourself.

Quote:
'Things You'll Need: Panties, Digital Camera, Email Account, Paypal Account'
PAYPAL DO NOT allow adult material transactions, Paypal will freeze your account and funds, they will issue sellers and buyers a $500 fine for breaching their T&C.

Quote:'Don't spend too much time on each posting or email that you send out. The less time you spend, the more money you are making per hour'
Yes, ignoring panty lovers unless they send you money will get you far. Great advise! How can you even make money per hr when the panties are worn per day?

Essentially, if you follow these suggestions, you'll end up with an empty wallet, an hefty fine from Paypal and tons of harassment from creepy men asking for sex.

These type of articles make used panty selling sound as some sort of cheap sex factory produced item tailored only to men who enjoy sniffing them.
Selling used panties involves a lot more then just satisfying men's fantasies, its a very personal fetish with a great supporting community, when turned into something so cheap and contrived, people will treat you cheaply and badly. Please make sure you research 'How to sell used panties' via knowledgeable channels - The Panty Fetish Community is full of experienced and helpful people. Ask them if you need advice!

Is it worth it?

Question:

Hi Serena
I am really interested in selling panties. Iv read stuff on your blog so I wont pester you with lots of questions. I just wanted to know, as you seem like a popular seller, how many, on average do you sell a month. As there seem to be a lot of seller about, genuine or not, I was wondering if it would be worth while doing.

Thanks very much
Cocoa

Answer:

Hi Cocoa
Its only 'worth while doing' it if you have a genuine Panty fetish, if you are planning to join the community to simply sell sell sell, you should not bother. Yes, there are many bad and insincere sellers out there, those kind of sellers don't last and disappear as soon as they realise panty buyers are not stupid.
As far as how many panties per month I sell, that's for me to know ; )

Is this wrong?

Question:

Hi Serena
I've been sniffing panties since i was 10 years old. I've been interested in a family friend since i was page boy when i was 9 and i still fancy her, and would like to get into her knickers. Shes in early 60s, but i dont know if its wrong as she was my dads cousin (my dad died 2 years ago) so i dont know if its legal or not. If its legal, I still would like to get hold of her panties. Is this wrong?

Answer:

It is OK to have fantasies about ladies and their panties, most if not all panty lovers. As far as the lady being your dad's cousin, I think the relation is distant enough not to be creepy or illegal.

Aroma

Question:

im always satisfied but i was wondering what can i tell a seller to get a more intense smelling panty? david121

Answer:

Unfortunately panty girls can't make scent stronger on demand, but you could ask the lady to wear the panties for a longer period, or maybe find a lady who's scent is naturally strong.
That is pretty much all we can do!

What is Alertpay?

Question:

Hi Serena
I have seen sellers accepting something called Alertpay, is this like Paypal?
Thanks
PantyBuyer96

Answer:

Alertpay is the most popular and reliable online payment service which allows adult related transactions. Paypal does NOT.
Setting up the Alerpay Personal Starter account is free and easy, upgrading to the Alerpay Personal Pro Account is also free and easy, however this offers access to a number of business tools such as receiving Credit Cards and multiple currencies to accept worldwide payments. I personally recommend the latter.

To open an account follow this link, go to Personal Accounts, select Personal Pro Account, click Sign Up. Make sure you use your real name*.
You can make and accept payments as soon as this is done.

What will happen next:
After your second money withdraw from your AP account to your bank account, AP will ask you to become verified. This involves answering a questioner to explain your business.

This is an example of email and request you may receive from AP:

Your withdrawal 12335-asdf-1AJAJ was declined as our risk and compliance has requested the following information:
Please specify the type of business you are in;
Provide the URL for this business (if applicable);
Please specify what are these received payments for (provide us with the nature of the product or service);
This information has been requested to increase security and better protect both you the customer and AlertPay.
We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused however we feel this is necessary in order to maintain the security of our network.

When you respond to this email please be aware of the following:
Unless you own and run a registered panty/adult business, you should not tell them that you do so. The majority of sellers do this as a hobby, which is what you should tell AP.
Unless you have your own website, do not say that your URL is www.myusedpantystore.com or www.pantytrust.com, this is not your website, it is a fetish network which does not generate a revenue. If you do won your website as I do, then do give the URL.
You should explain to AP that you are a member of this fetish network and that your contacts and friends offer payment via AP to purchase your used socks, panties, bras etc.
AP will eventually ask you to provide further documentation in order to finalise your verification process, this might happen as part of the same compliance requests, or later on.

This is an example of email and request from AP:
Thank you for the information you have provided. We would still like you to get verified before continue using your Alertpay account.

You will be asked to upload a number of documents such as driving licence, utility bills, credit card statements etc in order to verify your name and address. *If the name on your documents does not match the name on your AP account, your application will be declined untill you have proven to be the AP account owner.
Save yourself a lot of hassle and use your real name from the start, be aware that your name will be visible to payers, so if this is something you are not comfortable with, AP is not the service for you.
Same applies to buyers.

To find out more about their fees see https://www.alertpay.com/info/Fees.aspx
Please feel free to email me if you need help setting up the account.

My sales seem to be a little slow

Question:

Hi Serena, my sales seem to be a little slow compared to many, and I was hoping you could tell me if there is anything obvious I am doing wrong. Thank you!
Lucy

Answer:

Hey Lucy
I dont think you are doing anything wrong, i think its a matter of what you are not doing.
MUPS is very community based, the more time you spend on the site socialising and interacting, the more people will want to chat to you.
Contribute to the forum (very important), post comments, post promotions using the bulletin and the forum, blog, and chat to other sellers too. Just dont spam ; ) if you do videos I would suggest selling them, they are very very popular, I wish I had the time to make more.
There is shortage of good honest sellers, buyers will welcome you if you have the time for them : )

Hope this helps.

How to I build a website?

Question:

Hi Serena,
I am a bookkeeper but for fun i work as a phone/chat operator. many of my callers always request underwear, toys, clothes, shoes etc of which i am not allowed to do (not allowed when taking calls) so i decided to have a look on line to see if other people did it. to my amazement there are lots of women doing it so i thought i would give it a go. i have designed a web site in rough and am looking into getting it built, hosted etc but it is very expensive. i can use a computer but have no idea how to build a web site. i was wondering if you could give me a few pointers or recommend anything to me.
regards
K

Answer:

Hello K
There are a few options you could try, check http://www.myusedpantystore.com, its a free auction site and you wont need to set up a website to sell there, this way you can test the water and see if you enjoy it!
If you decide to go all the way, have a look at www.Wordress.com, they sell very good packages which include domains, hosting and already made templates for apx USD $55 per year.
You can actually start by signing up with a free blog (example www.k-panties.wordpress.com, but you can’t use it as a commercial site), and then upgrade to the package and domain (k-panties.com).
Take a look at this link to sign up for a free blog http://wordpress.com/
and see here how to upgrade http://en.wordpress.com/products/
Its fairly simple once you get your head around it, just make sure you read their T&C as X-rated content is not permitted.
Also, www.pantytrust.com is a great verification service for new sellers! I ‘d recommend it.
Things to bear in mind:
Most of the free website hosts such as Webs, Weebly, Freewebs ect do not allow adult content, if you use them you’ll end up with your account being frozen.
The good news is there are loads of adult friendly free website hosts out there, Sensualwriter.com, Moonfruit, Tumblr are all very popular and very user friendly.
Make sure you read the host T&C before you sign up, not after!
Give me a shout if you need a hand, its a lot of fun, but also hard work ; )

Should I join Panty Trust?

Question:

I read in another thread that girls are turned down for various reasons from being Panty Trust Verified. Could any of you PT girls explain why that might happen? I am just curious and I’ve been thinking about Panty Trust for myself but I’m still not sure. I understand the benefits and how it works, I just want to know why a girl might get turned down and if she was turned down, would she get her money back? or would she not pay the fee until she’s approved. Thank you, Jenny

Answer:

Panty Trust is a service designed to protect the community other then promote sellers.
This is done by offering the certainty that they will be welcoming sellers who care to offer their support and promote trust within the panty community.

PT offers a Protection Service too: if things go wrong with a panty sale transaction (and sometimes they do), mediation and an investigation takes place to find out why, when appropriate, the buyer is offered compensation/refund and the seller membership is revoked.
The process as to how one becomes verified is explained on PantyTrust.com, most importantly PT asks sellers to comply and understand the Code of Conduct, if they do not comply, their application gets rejected.
Example: sellers whos’ website content is not genuine or stolen will not be verified, sellers trading on ebay and using paypal will not be verified, spammers will be banned, and when we find evidence of an activity considered to be illegal, the seller not only is rejected but also reported.
PT do not take payments until the end of the verification process, if a membership is revoked there are no refunds. I’d need to confirm this, but if for personal reasons a seller chooses to leave within 6 months from joining, the fee is refunded.

Who should consider becoming PT verified?
- Sellers who have just joined the industry, care about the industry beyond selling, and are serious about panty selling.
(sellers who only care about racking up the cash and don’t ‘have time’ to promote trust within the community should not bother)
- Sellers who do not have significant feedback, come from nowhere and have no connections
(if you have been selling for years, have been contributing to the community, and already have 100’s of positive feedback you might not necessarily need to join. Altought it does help, especially helps buyers who only purchase from Panty Trust Verified ladies.
- Sellers who need extra help setting up and find their way around.

I was all of these things when I joined, and I can honestly say I would not be here today if it wasn’t for PT and members’ support.
PT is run by long standing experienced volunteers, they screen, help, support and kick seller’s ass when needed.

Remember, Panty Trust is about the community, not the individual, if your aims are ONLY to increase your sales, DONT DO IT. It wont work for you.

Where Can I Sell My Panties?

Question:

Hi Serena, I have been selling for a couple of months and I've been doing ok,  but I was wondering if you could recommend other sites where I could try and sell my intimates. I was thinking about eBay, do you know if its worth it?

Cheers, Sweet Rose Panties.

Answer:

Hello Sweet Rose, glad to hear you've been doing ok with your panty business.

eBay does not allow adult material such as used panties to be sold, so I would definitely NOT recommend it.

There are a few adult sites you could try, My Used Panties Store.com is a new young and successful panty site where you can list items for sales in a Buy it Now or Auction Style format, also you can take advantage of other features such as blogs, customisable profiles, forums etc. all completely free.

Auctions sites such as eBare and Ebanned do offer similar services but they are not free.
