MemberA site is stealing pics from everyone and anyone who is sexy or showing a bit of flesh, AND they are hotlinking.? I was notified today by Donna at worn4u who found one of me and unfortunately she has a lot of her private collection pics stolen and hotlinked to this site in some guys user profile.? ?
Evidently members of this site just surf the web and hotlink to anything they want just to get points.
Have a look at the user profiles and the babe galleries …they have lists and lists of thumbnails of girls they found on the web.? I think you can report the pics to the webmaster as copyright too but whether they give a shit or not I honestly dont know.
Either that or do what I do and watermark every pic on your site – that way its free advertising.
Damn asshats – all of em! gggrrrrrr

GuestWow! Lot of pics on there. Haven’t looked at it closely but most look user submitted so the owner might be non the wiser. Still kick his ass though…just for the fun!!

GuestMy 2 cents, I still see a lot of gals not watermarking their pictures in any way. Talk about leaving yourself open for photo theft! Take an extra 30 seconds to put a copyright on your picture – depending on your image editor, you can make your text partially transparent (opacity in Photoshop), so you’re not completely covering up the good stuff :) Its also smart to put the copyright over a main part of your picture (part of your body) – in other words, not in the corner where it can be easily cropped or removed by the “thief” smt

MemberMine are all tagged but I’m happy to leave some “pure.”
The way I see it is those people have no right to take my pics and if they’re willing to put thier whole site at risk by snitching Copyright content then they’re thier own fool. I do tag them but I won’t ruin my site for my customers because of some twerp. Grr! I’d rather take the risk and keep the majority happy and kick the asses (while wearing pointy shoes!!) of the sado’s that steal.
Touch wood, i’ve been ok so far. I’m not successful enough to imitate!! :cheer:

MemberUntil I discovered Photoshop on my computer (how did it get there?  ) I was watermarking using Paint. Yep, big, opaque lettering. No one has ever complained about the watermarking, but I have had a buyer ask if he could have the photo without the watermark. I have no problem sending the unwatermarked photos to a buyer if they ask (or a bidder I know well). But I put the big, ugly letters on the good parts of the photo because I’d be pissed to hell if they were ever stolen.

MemberAlso, if you have access to your stats and referring URL’s that your webhost provides, you might be able to catch many hotlinkers in the act. The good side to that is sometimes you get positive traffic from your photos and links getting out.
