I think it’s perfectly reasonable to get annoyed when you see your hard work passed off as someone else’s. It is daunting when you have a page with no text, it takes ages to write it, re-write it, tweak it, delete the lot and start again until you finally have something that is entirely personal to yourself that you are actually happy with, and that’s just one page!

Unfortunately Jennifer, if you paid for that site you were ripped off. Your site is owned by the guy who owns mcdogs. Buyers check up on things like that and they won’t buy from you because your site looks very dodgy.

There needs to be some limitations to bid retraction or defined accepted reasons for bid retractions or the auctions will be a joke at best, a farce otherwise.

Once you bid you should stick to it. I would agree with the first bid retraction you did but only because the site is new. A seller is responsible in making sure her payment options are available to view but also a buyer is responsible to check her options and if they are not on view he should ask before bidding!

Retracting your bid because you want a ‘smaller seller’ is taking the piss, it’s a complete abuse of the process, a waste of everyone’s time.

I’ve been eBaying for years and never felt the need to retract a bid. Apart from typing in $1000 instead of $10 what other reasons could there possibly be?
