But that said, it has often struck me that those who trumpet the loudest about God and “His” will are those who are paying little attention to the evidence.? They prefer to rely on the hearsay passed along from one “authority” to the next, rather than looking at the only evidence we really have about the intentions of the creator, that is, creation itself.? If God was so all-fire opposed to humans being aroused by the sights/smells/tastes of each other’s genitalia, why did He create us to be aroused by such things?? We undoubtably are; even the most cursory examination of human sexuality is enough to show that these things are not in the least abnormal or uncommon.

So, if God designed us to be aroused by these things, where do you suppose the message that they’re evil really came from?? Personally, I suspect the other guy!? I can’t think of any better way to pervert (and I use that word deliberately) God’s will than by “forging” His name, and attaching it to a lod of bullshit!

I did it girls!? Went yesterday and had it layered, about 4″ (and all my split ends!) trimmed off the bottom, and shorter layers around my face.? Whew, Karen, you have strong feelings about the dog thing, don’t you?

You’re perfectly right of course, a dog requires a lot more committment than a non-living alarm system.  But I don’t think the author meant getting a big trained-to-attack beastie, but rather that any dog (even a little pug) will bark at intuders, and possibly even go further to defend it’s mistress if the situation called for it.  This protectiveness is one of the things dog lovers love about their animals!

I say this speaking as a cat person who decided to get a dog after having kids – I feel a lot safer knowing that dog is in the backyard with them, even though it’s a a smallish mutt inclined to cowardice.

I don’t know about a $500 fine, but PayPal did in fact “limit” my account when they suspected that I might be using it to take payments.? I have no idea how they found out about my website, as I hadn’t accepted any PayPal payments (despite being asked to), nor did I advertise myself as being willing to do so, but there you have it.

What does a “limited” account mean?? Only that you can neither make payments nor accept payments, or get at any money which may have been in your account.? No matter where it came from.? And it is my understanding that any money in the account becomes theirs if if they decided you’ve been violating their TOS.? I had to go through several weeks of email wrangling with rude people who acted as if I was trying to pull one over on them just to get my account de-limited so I could close it!? You read that right – they would not even let me close the account (leaving them with full access to my personal bank account, since I’d been funding my PayPal account from my bank account as many people do) until I jumped through all of their ridiculous hoops.? And when all was said and done, even though they were forced to admit I was NOT violating their TOS, I got the exact same rude treatment – never so much as a “we’re sorry for the inconvenience.”

Ladies, it just isn’t worth it to accept PayPal!

I for one won’t be using them for anything in the future.

Oh, and BTW, although ebay does have auctions for adult toys, dvds, new lingerie, and even bondage/fetish gear – those things STILL can’t be paid with using PayPal.

For the purposes of this chapter, the term?

(i) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;
(ii) bestiality;
(iii) masturbation;
(iv) sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
(v) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person;
(B) For purposes of subsection 8(B) [1] of this section, ?sexually explicit conduct? means?
(i) graphic sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex, or lascivious simulated sexual intercourse where the genitals, breast, or pubic area of any person is exhibited;
(ii) graphic or lascivious simulated;
(I) bestiality;
(II) masturbation; or
(III) sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
(iii) graphic or simulated lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person;
(3) ?producing? means producing, directing, manufacturing, issuing, publishing, or advertising;
(4) ?organization? means a person other than an individual;
(5) ?visual depiction? includes undeveloped film and videotape, and data stored on computer disk or by electronic means which is capable of conversion into a visual image;
(6) ?computer? has the meaning given that term in section 1030 of this title;
(7) ?custody or control? includes temporary supervision over or responsibility for a minor whether legally or illegally obtained;
(8 ?child pornography? means any visual depiction, including any photograph, film, video, picture, or computer or computer-generated image or picture, whether made or produced by electronic, mechanical, or other means, of sexually explicit conduct, where?
(A) the production of such visual depiction involves the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct;
(B) such visual depiction is a digital image, computer image, or computer-generated image that is, or is indistinguishable from, that of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; or
(C) such visual depiction has been created, adapted, or modified to appear that an identifiable minor is engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

This law, BTW, has been on the books for YEARS, it is not something new that just passed!? The recent change to the law extended the recordkeeping obligations of adult businesses, which makes it harder for places like Panty Hog to run but doesn’t make child porn any more illegal than it was before.

That said, one adult webmistress of my aquaintance commented that the new law might have the unforseen benefit of making lots of people a good deal more careful about the hardcore vs. softcore quality of their “publicity” materials.? Since places like PHog are tightening up on what is and isn’t allowed in galleries, banner ads and so on (due to not wanting the hassle of keeping model releases on file for everybody) the kind of stuff joe surfer encounters may be becoming a little more tasteful.? Or tamer, depending on your perspective.
