Whilst we are on the subject.. I have found myself declining longtime pending requests from one- off random users … I guess I’m not comfortable having strangers on my friends list!
How does everyone else manage their connections? is there a sensible criteria?

Hi Serena,
I don’t have this issue here on Panty Hog, but I do have it on Used Panty World. Some new users seem to send “friend” invitations to every one, the day they open their accounts. I don’t know them and they don’t know me.
I’m too old to be part of the Myspace scene, but it’s my understanding that some people who use social networking web sites like to “collect friends.” It’s a competition, a way of “keeping score.”
I haven’t declined a single friend request. I never know when the person making the request might actually take an interest in communicating with me, and I see no reason to slap a complete stranger in the face prematurely.
BUT I won’t consider a friend request seriously unless it is accompanied by a personal email exchange which is enjoyable for both of us. A good conversation. That’s a big part of friendship, wouldn’t you say?
