aaaaaaggggghhhhh, i spent hours earlier deleting all my old pics on website, settin up my sons webcam ( lol ) in my bedroom , in the right postion with the right light etc etc, to take some new pics of myself. then uploaded them all on site ( yes i know i should have checked them first!) only to find they are all crap quality!!! mad
how do u all take your pics? do u have someone take them for ya? and does anyone know of a reasonably cheap webcam that takes good quality pics?!

I’m not sure about a webcam, I haven’t seen any that does a good quality pic.

Alternatively try a digital camera with a timer, and f you ever figure out how the timer works please come and tell me…

There are many webcams between $30 to $100 but most webcams suck when it comes to taking good quality pics because their sensors are not designed that way.

Digital cameras are the best way to take pics. I have 2 digi cams that are 1.3mp and 3.1mp. The 1.3mp is an olympus that i bought 6 years ago and I still take pics with it. works like a charm and takes very nice indoor light pics. 1.3mp is not for printing but works great for web pics.

it has a true 1.3mp sensor but a bit pricey and you better have a powerful computer to go with that cam.

Digital camera with timer.  All the webcam pics I’ve seen haven’t been very good quality.

i have a great digital camera, but after spending 3 hours working out how to do the timer ( maybe its a female thing anna) i then couldnt get it to stand in right position for anything..it wasmore hassle than it was worth! have only really got 2 people that could take pics for me..my best friend who has 2 kids under 3 so gettin 30 mins alone with her is near impossible , and my mum, who wouldnt mind doin it but isnt the most patient of people, she’d moan that ‘this isnt gettin the hoovering done’.  i guess ill try the timer thing again. :rolleyes: :cheer:
