Are you ready for the transition to digital tv?

For the folks not in the USA, we are having a forced transition in January to digital television transmission. Old tv’s will stop working without a converter (don’t worry if you use cable or satellite you aren’t affected).

Yea,having to get a converter box really is something sweet to play around with for some people!
( I’ve got cable,but people really act interesting whenever they try hooking up anything sometimes )

Yes, PRH, actually while the video is really funny, it does do a good job of reminding people that it will be very hard for some people. I never thought about how the older folks would deal with it until I saw that vid. The funniest thing for me was that the lady in it is as real as they come. I very easily saw my grandmother in her place, and I know that is exactly how it would go.

We are in the process of switching over too, we started this year and we finish in 2012.

Wow! That is really strange. I guess it is because it is from FOX TV and has something to do with broadcast rights maybe :unsure:

I’ll look to see if I can find it elsewhere when I get home from work.
