I hear ya Leatherz. Here in Birmingham, do we have christmas? Nay! We have Winterval The word Christmas is offensive to non christians…apparently. Last year they banned santa cos he’s offensive too.

My gosh, the world’s gone m.a.d. I want my own island  😛

It really is a small world. Over here in the USA, big news is that Target (a discount store chain) is being boycotted by the religious right-wing because they are using the word “Holiday” instead of “Christmas” in their advertisements. Wal-Mart was threatened with this boycott too so they bowed and are now using “Christmas” in their ads and on their web site. Talk about blackmail and terrorism.? :angry: I personally do celebrate Christmas, and I may think it is pretty silly to advertise a Christmas tree as a Holiday tree, but it’s no skin off of my nose if that’s the way the retailers choose to advertise. As I’ve said before, with all the insane shit going on in this world, is that the kind of stuff we should really give a rat’s ass about?? :huh: I’m with you on the island idea, how about just me, you, and your long legs on that island Jess?? 😛

The UK has gone mad when we cannot celebrate Christmas with Santa and everything else that goes with it.

Lambeth in London, UK aren’t having Christmas lights, they are having festive lights because Christmas lights offend the other religions.? Oh please when is all this stupidity going to stop.? We have to put up with all the other religions and their festivals.

My Mom works in a school and she wished one non christian kid a happy crimbo. He told her he &quot:cheer:idn’t DO christmas” so she said she’d open the school for him then while everyone else was off. Soon shut him up apparently. See, no one minds the time off do they? It’s a loopy-loopy world.
