MemberSo… if you live in the USA and want to sell your worn lingerie & pics… how would you do it legally?
Do you have to be a business? Would you call yourself a retail thing or a model?
These questions have been bugging me for a few weeks now. I wish more people used the Panty Trust forums for such shop talk  ….

MemberIt’s a retail business. There are plenty of porn stars and adult models who sell worn items in an online store connected to their websites, but they’re selling “retail items”. If you were classified as a model you would be contracting yourself out for services – coming from a model herself. 😉

MemberI can’t see that you’d earn enough from selling panties for the taxman to be too interested.
I don’t think you can sell used panties ‘legally’ anyway. It’s actually illegal, as other threads on the forum have already discussed.
It’s best to keep quiet and make sure your items are well packaged so you avoid the attentions of your postal service.Â

MemberIt is not illegal to sell worn underwear in the USA as far as I know (I know in NY it is 100% legal), it becomes sticky (no pun intended)Â when you are talking about what might be IN the underwear — which goes into health risks, etc.
Here is a well known adult star that is a friend of a good friend who sells her panties and lingerie on her website.

MemberThat’s what I meant by ‘used’ – the contents, it was discussed on another thread that the panties should be treated as biohazardous!! Otherwise you can be prosecuted for transporting potentially hazardous materials without the expected precautions.
If I find the thread I’ll post a link here for those who are interested.

MemberSee, I’m looking at it more as modeling, with a gift sent along with pictures…
So (btw i love your name!) hotxxxblonde, do you go the legal route with all that stuff (processes for legitimate model self-contracting thingamajigs)? If so, mind sharing tips & tricks?
Gracias 🙂

MemberWell I’m a model in my non-panty selling life, but not an adult model ;) I work with an agency and also do a lot of self contract work. Not sure if that’s what you meant or with regards to panty/lingerie selling?
Hotxxxblonde was something I just made up when I started selling panties, sometimes I’m not very creative :cheer:

MemberSo, for tax purposes, do you count yourself as self-employed or as an independent contractor? If it didn’t cost $$ I’d love to consult an accountant about this, for the reaction alone
