Has anyone ever had a package opened and its contents examined? I’m sure more than one country reserves the right to inspect parcels being delivered inside their borders.
(I’m wondering if this is the case with a panty I mailed to New Zealand a full two weeks ago…Â It still has not arrived!)Â Â 🙁

XOXOJuly 14, 2005 at 7:35 am #2823Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberHI …. I had a package examined, opened, ripped apart and abused last week going to Sydney, Australia, but to a PO Box address..?
I have NEVER EVER experienced anything like that in my life before.? I always put a return address on the back of the envelope when Im sending stuff outside Europe, which has, up until now, worked fine in sailing through any country customs.? This was a first for me; and it could only be because it was a PO BOX address!
The whole package was still delivered but sealed up with tons of Customs tape.? Everything I had sent had been not only inspected but used and abused and one item had even been urinated on and one bag containing a pair of panties was literally soaked in urine!? It could have only been done by customs.
I sent another replacement package to the same place with a VERY nasty letter to customs. So when they open it they will have to read my note.? As most people already know I can have a sharp tongue when someone really does piss me off in a big way so I am now wondering if the replacement package will arrive as it should.
Ill keep you posted and let you know what happens 🙂

p.s. DHKaren – let us know if your package arrives at its destination xxxJuly 14, 2005 at 11:58 am #2825KroozeMemberSorry this kind of stuff happened. I have only sent and received packages between the US and Canada so I’m no help in this matter.
I just wanted to add that fear of this kind of thing is why I haven’t done business with any of the beautiful girls in the UK. Is it really paranoia if someone is watching you:huh:?? 😉
Good luck to anyone shipping out of their country.

July 14, 2005 at 12:09 pm #2826Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberWell I post things to the USA all the time and so far have not had a problem whatsoever.? I havent had a problem in shipping to Oz before either and I think the main problem with this client was that he gave a PO Box address and not a private address.
I can see Customs point of being more paranoid about checking items going to a PO Box rather than a private address – but to then abuse my goods for their own satisfaction/laughter/whatever is disgusting.

July 14, 2005 at 8:30 pm #2828darkhairedkarenMemberCindy, that abuse is totally wrong. Can you complain (or your client complain) directly to customs about the damaged goods?
My package is shipping to a P.O. Box as well. I used a return address that is not mine (or anyone I knows, actually.) It’s for an apartment building. Wonder if that created a problem.
I *do* have a P.O. Box now, so I wonder if that will make customs even more suspicious. In the case of P.O. Box to P.O. Box maybe I should just mark the contents as “Pamela Anderson porn” or something… :cheer: Or, at least, “secondhand clothing”.
I never expected a problem (or such a long mailing period) because I recently mailed some trousers to the UK and they got there in record time… Under a week, I think. No problems there.
I’m a bit scared to be making inquiries… Is panty selling (plain pussy juices, not urine or anything else) legal? Grey area?
I’ll keep you posted…Â As of now they still have not arrived.

XOXOJuly 15, 2005 at 2:59 am #2833cherieMemberSpeaking of customs, I was wondering what ya’ll put on the declaration form when you send packages internationally?? I’ve been marking mine as “gift – clothing” but I wasn’t sure whether I might to better to use another designation.? I don’t want to arouse the suspicions of customs officials OR curious wives/girlfriends/landladies/whatever!
xox
Lady Cheriep.s.? Holy cow, Cindy!? Anybody who behaves like that at work should be FIRED if yu ask me.
July 15, 2005 at 3:43 am #2836darkhairedkarenMemberI just put “clothing”, value $10. They can totally x-ray the package and see that it is true.
July 15, 2005 at 7:27 am #2838Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberMy Client did complain and wanted to take it further but the thing is, sending out this kind of stuff is a “grey” area and I didnt want to be responsible for alerting the world’s postal system that there are thousands of used items containing bodily fluids flying around the world and then we all get shut down or worse, taken to court.? It has happened before.
My client got a form back which he had to fill in .. some of the questions were:
“What was in the package?”
“What were the contents intended for?”
“Why were they no longer useable?”
“If the contents where damaged, please specify…”So I said FORGET IT … dont fill it out, just leave it and instead I wrote a note within the next parcel directed at customs. …. and if they do it again, Ill wave my magick wand and turn em all into frogs! HAHAA
….As I said before, this is the FIRST time it has ever happened and I have been sending my items worldwide for many years without a problem – however, this was the FIRST time I sent to a PO Box Internationally.?
This can only be the reason – no matter what you put on the envelope (I wrote GIFT-CLOTHING on my envelope too!)? -? Unfortunately, PO Box delivery addresses seem to raise alot of suspicion.
Ill keep you informed – I should know later today or this week if my second package arrived “unabused” lol 🙂
Love Cindy
p.s. I have never needed to fill out any customs form before either and every single package I have sent out (until this PO box address) has arrived perfectly safe – the guys at my post office just said as long as it has an Air Mail sticker on it and its under a certain weight and size and it does not contain anything of major value like jewellry etc then it can be posted as regular mail. This has worked for me so far and its really fast too!
July 15, 2005 at 11:13 am #2840Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberOk I just heard from my Ozzie client … His package arrived safe and sound and it had not even been opened or even inspected by customs whatsoever.
So, even though PO Boxes seem to raise an eyebrow, I guess there must have been a different lot working at Customs this time …. OR my client’s initial complaint did actually have some effect and someone actually did get sacked!
Who knows – but thankfully I am happy now that my client has received his order and he is a happy bunny too 🙂

July 18, 2005 at 4:22 pm #2870cherieMemberWow, Cindy, that just amazes me about you not needing to do the customs form…here in the US, every single international package, no matter what the size or weight, not only has to have the declaration form but ALSO? must be dropped off in person at the post office!
xo
CherieJuly 18, 2005 at 5:12 pm #2871Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberwow.. I didnt realise the USA were so strict.
I have never needed to fill out a form for any of my packages I send out to anywhere in the world.?
I take alot of my post personally to the post office to get weighed if my scales are playing up or I have run out of stamps, but never once have they indicated I have to fill out anything.?
And all my post has been received absolutely fine over the last 6 or 7 years (apart from that one po box addy in Oz .. but the replacement package I sent arrived absolutely fine!!)
I have family in Canada, USA and Oz and Im always sending things – however parcels or boxes or valuable items are a different matter and do need to be declared.? Seems to be the same throughout Europe actually as Im not having any troubles in sending items out from Germany either.
I wonder if DHKaren has come up with any issues or had to fill out any customs declaration forms for posting packages to the USA from the UK?? DHKaren, have you?
July 18, 2005 at 5:38 pm #2872leatherznzpiceMemberCherie,
the US postal and customs laws must be stricter than Europe, certainly from the UK I’ve posted things to friends and familly and only large items that have to be sent via Parcelforce or another courier have to have a customs declaration.
Small packages are sent from the local Post Office and marked simply as a ‘Small Packet’.? Of course I’m not sending panties etc, but I’d think it holds true for any smallish item being sent via Royal Mail.
I’m fairly sure everything is checked by X-Ray machine anyway by Customs prior to leaving the country.
July 18, 2005 at 5:50 pm #2873AnonymousGuestEverytime that I’ve sent something overseas from the Uk I’ve had to fill out a declaration sticker for the package. Your postie must be a lazy one Cinders. 😉 I usually write “socks” on it

July 18, 2005 at 6:32 pm #2874Cindy_PantyParadiseMemberThis is proving really interesting.? When I lived in London I never got questioned over a package unless it was a box.? Same as in Oxford where I worked, and in Yorkshire.
I moved to Germany and the same thing – as long as its in a jiffy and not a parcel, you shouldnt have to do anything .. it should just go small packet post (if it is under a certain weight and dimension and does not include a letter .. yeah I know “the letter” thing seems stupid, but evidently if it contains a letter then it has different rules).
To be honest I dont even think they know themselves and so far all my jiffys containing my items have arrived safe and sound and have arrived really quick at their destination no trouble.? Quickest to the USA was 3 days!!!!!
Anyone else had post experience?
…Jess … hahaha .. Socks? … brilliant one 🙂
July 18, 2005 at 10:07 pm #2878darkhairedkarenMemberI have had to fill out a declaration sheet for any bubble envelope leaving the country. (It didn’t used to be this way 10 years ago – I sent lingerie and love tokens to my then-internet lover in the States and never had to fill out anything!) I get worried that the postal clerk will start to wonder about all the “clothes” I am sending. ;) Perhaps I will start using different locations.
Jess – I wonder if “birthday socks for Dad!” is the least suspicious thing you could write on the declaration form. 🙂
My NZ client STILL has not received his package!!! What the heck is going on:huh: Do panties ferment after a while:huh:
