MemberThis is going to sound stoopid to all the people who own a normal computer but since I own the DEVIL with a hard drive I have to do this…..
I AM ABOUT TO TAKE MY COMPUTER APART AND PUT IN SOME NEW MEMORY. IF YOU DO NOT SEE ME FOR A LITTLE WHILE THEN ONE OF US DIDN’T MAKE IT!!
CUSTOMERS, I’M NOT IGNORING YOUR EMAILS INTENTIONALLY MY COMPUTER MAY JUST HAVE GONE POOF, IN TO A CLOUD OF (RED) SMOKE. 😉
My customers know what my com is like…..they understand me. Right Mr Packard Bell, do your worst!!!

MemberOk, I’m pissed, still here, but pissed!! My computer on the hand is about to be embedded in my extension roof. mad
This is my com & an example of a perfectly compatable stick:
http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=7885&ft=M&st=1
(the only difference is is that it’s a 128mb not 256 like it says. They have that part wrong.)This is the new memory stick I have for it:
Can someone who knows what they’re looking for tell me if they’re compatable? I’ve just looked and my existing stick has 2 cut out parts at the bottom, my new stick has infact got one. Everything suggests this should fit my computer. If I ram this thing in am I going to break my computer?
Panty selling sucks right now.  I’m really fed up guys.

MemberHiya Jess,
just had a look at the memory you need for your PC and it’s 184-Pin PC2700 (333MHz) DIMM.
The Amazon stuff you’ve linked to / bought is 184-Pin PC2100 (266MHz) DIMM.
The 2 are different, you need the higer speed stuff for your PC, you probably won’t break your computer (notice I say probably? 😉 ) but it may not like the lower speed memory and will just *beep* if it doesn’t!
I suspect this is what you need for your ‘puter 🙂

Memberoh, I get it. I really know nothing about anything internal on a computer.
If you enlarge the pic on Amazon, you see how it has a small cut out notch on the bottom? Well that sits over a bump in my com. Well my com has 2 of those bumps and all these new sticks have but one notch, even the one on the “compatable” link I showed.
Excuse my non technical terms but 2 bumps need 2 notches  and I can’t find any that have those 2 notches. I think this is Packard Bells way of making sure I buy from them alone. Either that or the man that made it thought this would be funny!! According to PB I need the opposite of a DDR?? My head hurts
Thank you Leatherz
