Yes there is, it’s on the left hand side of the screen under your avatar in Log In or Register. It tells you how many messages you have, how many are new and if you click it takes you straight there.

You can periodically bump your ad as long as it is not overdone. Once of twice is okay, any more would be considered as spamming.
