Hi Serena,

You are positive that you are filling in the “profile headline” with the red star next to it? It is about half way down the form just above the description box. I just tried it and didn’t see any trouble, and the others that signed up didn’t have a problem. What internet browser are you using?

Has anyone else out there found a problem with this? If so, please reply here.

The auction does use proxy bidding. You can read about the bidding here: https://www.usedpantyportal.com/howtobid.shtml

Like most all auction places, if the item starts at $1.00 you can bid $75.00. The system will place the dollar bid and if someone comes and bids two dollars, it will automatically bid for example $2.50 for you – up to your max bid.

If the item has a reserve of $40, starts at $1 and you bid $75, it will bid $40 for you to meet the reserve, and then proxy bid as normal up to $75.

If you are the only bidder, the item has no reserve, and starts at $1, you can bid $75, and if no one else bids, your winning bid is $1

If there are no other bidders and you bid $1, then $2, then $3, and so on, your high bid will be the winning bid. There wouldn’t be any sense in out bidding yourself like this unless you just wanted to be nice to the seller, which isn’t such a bad thing.  😉

I appreciate that Shelley made us aware of her experience. If any one ever gets ripped by a seller listed in the Panty Hog directory or member pages, please do let me know. I certainly don’t want Panty Hog sending someone to a scammer, but I’ll never know if you don’t say anything.

I’m not sure why this would be happening. However my answer to almost everything  😉 (clear out your browser’s cookies/temporary internet files) seems to work 98% of the time. I’ll look into it with the forum script developer to see if others have found this problem. In the mean time, after you read the the first new message, click the back button on your browser and the new message listing might still be there.

For those who have said that they don’t hear the sound I give the advice again to make sure that you have cleared your browser’s temporary files, cookies, temporary internet files, and give it another go. Make sure the little button next to the smiley is green (if it is red, click on it). Needless to say, you have to have your computer’s speakers connected, turned on, and the volume at the proper level. The chat alert has been tested in all of the major browsers without problems.

Yeah, I noticed the December thing too. However when you send someone a PM, the system emails them a notice that they have mail. If she’s still around, you may get lucky. An even better idea might be to check out the auction area and bid on something from a great lady you know is still in business.
