I’m making this section my own, aren’t I?  :cheer: Sorry for all the questions, I’m so scatty!

Feedback….I need feedback!!! I have MS Frontpage 2000 which was in a crappy package I was given and is ok to play with. I want to upgrade but what to, Pink ponders?!

I’ve been told MacroMedia Dreamweaver MX is good but I don’t know anything on how to work it. From observations I can see that FP 2002 is ‘Buggy’ but seems to be the only one that hosting companys tend to offer an extension on.

Should I try 2002 and what do you use?

I know you were kidding, but actually, anyone can have their own section on the forums or on the general Panty Hog site.  Anyone that desires their own section just needs to say the word, and their own section will magically appear.  🙂 That’s how Lady Cherie’s sissy area came to be.

As far web authoring software, Dream Weaver is very good, and is widely used. It is also expensive, and less user friendly than Front Page. If I remember right, I think you can actually download a trial copy from the Macromedia web site. As you mentioned, web hosts need to set up Frontpage extensions on your account to enable you to use all of Frontpage’s bells and whistles. If the extensions are not enabled, you can still publish with Front Page but you just won’t be able to use some features. You don’t see web hosts advertising that an account can have Dream Weaver extensions enabled because unlike Frontpage, Dream Weaver is good to go without requiring any Dream Weaver specific extensions activated on the server.

Hi hon, Suzie here.. thought I’d stick in my two pennies worth 🙂

I use Netobjects Fusion 8.0 and I don’t know what I would have done without it. ?I only chose it to begin with because I didnt want to pay my host for ‘Frontpage extentions’ ?!. ?Anyway, I personally love using it and find it really easy. ?The only sticky bit I had with it was the E-commerce.. at the minute I can’t actually link it to something like Nochex or PPPay (I don’t currently have the mental capacity to learn cgi properly!) So if you currently use a shopping cart linked to a pay system then that could be a problem for you. ? ?I didn’t want to use any of the ‘store engines’ that Fusion provided/suggested cause a) I didn’t want to pay for it and b) they’re very frightend of ‘adult’ sites ?:angry: ?The Netobjects website will let you download it (its about 99MB or something around that) for free.. and you can use it for 30 days.

Anyway, just another idea that’s a bit different to Frontpage 😉

:laugh: ok, I think any of the Macromedia’s series are expensive so,.. buy a copy of .net magazine (uk ?4.99ish) and u get a free 30 trial on cover disc, now using a search engine you will be able to find cracks for it.
this is for research only though ok!  🙂

it’s easy to use and you don’t need any fancy entensions/plug-ins from your host, saving you loads.

You can also find many adult sites that will creat yours for you.

I love LynnsPanties site, it’s clean, simple and easy to navigate. top marks dear.

Oh! Thank you so much!? I’ve only had my site going for about a month and I’m still working on adding more.? Just trying to get some exposure and clients now. Any tips appreciated there.

I’ve never used Frontpage, or anything like that.? It’s all hand-coding. Can do it in Wordpad or Notepad if I need to, but I like using Coldfusion just because it looks pretty (color codes your tags, etc).? I have an old copy (v.4) from a programmer.? I’m more into graphics than programming.

And Lynn, FWIW from an amateur, I think hand written code is so much more elegant…when you have to figure out the tags n tables yourself you tend to avoid all the kludge that the authoring programs put in.? Your site is very pretty, inside and out 🙂

Hiya .. I personally use Aracnophilia (hand editor which is good) and Front Page to help me out sometimes for speed.  I havent needed to use any of the features of frontpage that requires extensions to my server.  If I want something special, I always look on the web instead and code it manually – Frontpage is OK and great to begin and wont cause you any problems with your hosting as long as you stay away from Frontpages own crap little coding world 🙂 (eg: dont use their wizards to create stuff)

Pk, I’m not sure they would be much interest in a Help The Computer Inferior Pink section!  😉 Thankyou PK, Suzzie, Johnny, Lynn, Cherrie and Cindy. I’ll investigate all those, thankyou guys.

I’ve only dipped my toe in the coding pool, so need something to learn on really. I’m good at learning large programs fast, just need a decent one to start on. So the experts opinion is get a simple package and learn to code. All the sites you guys own look great.

Johnny: I’ve found the complete Dreamwear package for $800! Wow! I got a friend to send a cracked version but I forgot to mention I needed it in English obviously! It’d be cheaper to learn code than Urdu!!
